20 down, 6 to go!

I finished! I feel like I did great. I felt strong and still had enough energy left to have a dance party on my car ride home. However, after laying down for awhile it was a whole other story. I swear my legs were not going to move, I had to force myself to sit up and walk on them. I guess not really my legs, more my hip flexers which is so hard to stretch out! I took a HOT shower and then went to the gym for a half hour to flush out all the lactic aid that was building up. A nice slow walk and lots of stretching. I feel way better! Now lots of ice and stretching to get me through until tomorrow before I do another 20. RELAX! I'm only kidding. This was my last long run before 26.2 on 10/12. Now we scale down and focus on rest and relaxation! Thanks for everyones words of encouragement... it's you guys that gets me through!

Jen said... are seriously AMAZING! I couldn't make it one mile without getting side cramps and I would most likely puke after the second mile. I am so proud of you and all the hard work you have put into this. I can't wait to hear your time on 10/12. Way to go mama!
